The Mill’s Marshes exhibition has been a wonderful success. It will be taken down temporarily during refurbishments in The Mill’s living room, but will be put up again shortly. We will let you know as soon as this happens!
In the meantime, there are a selection of great events coming up at the marshes to complement the exhibition.
On Sunday 19 May, a marshes foraging walk is leaving from the Lee Valley Ice Centre at 2pm – check the link for more information or email transitionwalthamstow@gmail.com
On Saturday 8 June, meet at The Mill at 12 noon for an exploratory walk around the marshes, taking in the old-times food and medicines to be found there.
And on Sunday 16 June, meet at Coppermill Fields car park at 10am for a walk led by one of the marsh rangers, Gavin, who will introduce some of the area’s unique history.
