Waltham Forest LETS meeting

Waltham Forest LETS thought it would be great to create more regular opportunities for members to meet each other and trade. So if you’re around on Sunday 25 March between 2-4pm please come to The Mill in Walthamstow – it would be great to see you!

Trading happens much more easily when members have met each other, so please come along, bring anything you want to trade in case it’s of use to someone else (books, clothes, household items, unwanted, good quality gifts), and ideas of trades that would be useful for you. And our amazing auctioneer Deryl can help raise the bids so you earn top Beams for your wares!

This will be a chance to meet and chat – and if anyone wants to bring cake or nibbles – we can munch away too. If you need help with catching up inputting trades to the online trading system we’ll also have a laptop there.

As it’s the start of the growing season, do bring seeds to trade if you have any, or anything else for the garden. And if you have any friends who’d like to learn about LETS, please bring them along.

If you’ve got nothing to bring – don’t worry – just bring yourself! See you there!

What is LETS?

LETS is a system for local people to trade goods and services without using money. It’s a not-for-profit, community-based organisation, with members offering services and goods such as:  DIY, music lessons, alternative therapies, gardening, loan of tools and equipment, computing, cooking, giving lifts, allotment vegetables, dog-walking, sewing and lots more. See the Inspiration page on the left to get an idea of what can be traded on the scheme.
