Make a pennant for an Olympic athlete

The Quilts 4 London project is asking people to make pennants to be given as a welcoming gift to the Olympic and paralympic athletes and they need to have 14,700 made by year end.

Over three Wednesday afternoon sessions at The Mill we’re going to try to make a healthy contribution from Walthamstow.

Everyone is welcome – stitching will be done by those 7 to 107. Younger participants can use fabric markers to decorate pennants assembled by other volunteers.

We are recommending a £2 donation per pennant towards materials and lessons. A number of people will be providing sharing their sewing skills and knowledge.
