The Mill is looking for new Trustees

Mill Makers craft club a group of people sitting round tables doing sewing, painting and other crafts

The Mill, a well-respected community centre in Walthamstow, is aiming to recruit some new trustees.

We’re looking for people who want to get involved and help create a strong local community, who can volunteer around 8 hours a month and get actively involved, and who together reflect the diverse community where we’re based.

Although this isn’t essential, we would especially value people who have experience or knowledge in:

  • our local community
  • building redevelopment and project management
  • understanding and working with vulnerable and isolated residents
  • human resource or volunteer management
  • strategic planning

You don’t need previous experience of being a trustee; most of all we want enthusiastic people who want to help build a strong community.

If you’re interested in exploring this further with us, please take a look at the role description for more detail:

We are happy to meet you at The Mill, to discuss this further and answer your questions. To apply, please send your CV (in whatever form you have it) and complete the Expression of Interest form (you can do this before, during or after we meet). If selected to join the Board, references will be requested.
