Thank you to everyone who came to The Mill Quiz and our World Book Day Book Sale!
We raised £210 at our first fundraising event of the year, The Mill Quiz, on Friday 19 February 2016. A massive thank you to our quiz team for organising a fantastic event: George, Monica, Sue, Adele, Catherine and Russell.
It was great to see everyone who came along to take part and a special thank you to our community donors for our Quiz prizes on the night: Empire Cinema for cinema tickets, No. 56 for the Cocktails, Nandos for chicken dinners, The Body Shop for their vouchers, The Chequers for their wine and newcomer Yakamoz Restaurant for their generous meal discounts.
On 3 March, we had had a World Book Day Sale. We were incredibly busy – The Mill was a sea of buggies, happy children and cake crumbs! We made an amazing £360. A big thank you to our organisers Janet, Sue and Isabel. If you missed out, there are still some brand new children’s books on sale in Reception, all at £1 each.
As we are a local charity, your kind donations help us to keep making things happen in Walthamstow. Thank you to all concerned!
