What can you do for Lea Bridge?

Lea Bridge

The Mill and Lea Bridge have taken huge steps already this year – and Lea Bridge residents have already started coming together to make decisions on how their local community space can best be used.

From Tuesday 17th April, we will invite residents and groups to apply to use the space. The room will be available for free, and we’ll be holding a competition for people to suggest their own ideas and plans for bringing the space back to the community. There will be much more information about this on the blog next week.

In the meantime, it will also be Lea Bridge residents who will make up a ‘steering group’ to decide which applications are successful. It has been great that some local people have already volunteered to help out with this, but there are still two spaces left for anyone who wants to lend their time and expertise.

This might be people with children at local schools, or who run local businesses, or are just interested in making their community even stronger – but we would love to hear from anyone interested in completing the group.

If you are interested or have any questions, you can email alison@themill-coppermill.org, leave a message in the postbox at Lea Bridge Library, or talk with Alison when she’s at the library this month:
