Walthamstow in perspective – a new exhibition at the Mill.
For everyone who enjoys Walthamstow, this exhibition shows the architectural background to life in E17, from elegant Victorian shopfronts to light industry.
Local resident Duncan Holmes started with a photograph of a council block highlighted by the morning sunshine, with dark shadows thrown across them by the newly-pollarded lime trees in Blackhorse Lane. He went on to spend six months looking for interesting buildings, capturing them in photographs that were first shown on the E17 Art Trail in August 2012.
The exhibition opens Tuesday 20th November at 10am, and runs until Saturday 10th January 2012 at 6pm
