Everyone is welcome whenever we are open. You can borrow a book from the honesty library, bring your little ones to enjoy all the toys in the playroom, make a cuppa and have a chat – and we also have leaflets, flyers and posters on display so you can find out what else is going on throughout Waltham Forest.

Monday 3 October

Yoga6pm-7pm – Gentle Yoga – Learn some gentle healing poses and relaxation techniques, which you can also do safely at home. Classes are small (up to 8 students), so you will get plenty of individual attention. £10 drop in or £9 with a loyalty card. 7pm-8.30pm – Ashtanga Yoga – This class is also led by Josetta who specialises in teaching beginners this dynamic style of yoga, but all levels are catered for.Regular students buy ten week loyalty cards for a discounted £10 per class. Drop-ins are also welcome, space permitting for £11. This class is for anyone with little or no experience of either yoga or Ashtanga yoga, as well as for those who wish to develop their practice. Tuesday 4 October

coffee-cropped10am-12pm – Real Coffee Freshly Brewed @ The Mill. On the first Tuesday of every month you can enjoy a cup of real coffee, freshly brewed + free, home-made, almond biscotti – and all for just £1.00 … ! Just drop-in  – everyone welcome.

SociableSewing10am-1pm – Sociable Sewing – Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or an experienced sewer, all are welcome. You can bring your own sewing, patchwork, darning or mending. Learn a new skill, have fun with fabric or just sew in company. An experienced sewer, Hilary, will be on hand for help and advice, and we have sewing machines available if you need them. £1 donation + small costs for materials. Esol Wordle10am-2pm – Community Voices – A programme of ESOL, aimed at migrant women of all backgrounds who want to integrate into their community, train as a volunteer, run local community events and gain an ESOL speaking qualification. laughterclubimage12pm-2pm – Laughter Club – Meets weekly and is for people to socialise and make new friends and enjoy pleasant company. Set up originally for people who are on employment support allowance on the work programme with SEETEC, but others are welcome. For more information email.

People on the beach at sunset6.30pm – 7.30pm – Move the Body – Still the Mind – This is a moving meditation class, in which you will perform gentle, natural movements based on Chi Kung and Tai Chi practices and principles. Age and mobility difficulties are no obstacle as the exercises are gentle and can be accommodated to any ability. Cost £9. Please bring a bottle of water and wear flat footwear. Thursday 6 October

TalesFromTheMarshAll day – the first day of our new exhibition on the walls of the living-room. “Tales from the Marsh”  unearths the magnetic pull of Walthamstow and Leyton Marshes in this collage of local people’s narratives, reminiscence, poetry, artwork and photographs. Through creative workshops and walking conversations, artist Siobhan O’Neill has carved out a space for inhabitants to reflect on their diverse lived experiences of the Marshes. Exhibited here in snapshots of childhood freedom, evocations of natural beauty, treaties for common land and agitations against urban development. The exhibition will continue until early December.
