Inspired by Nature Embroidered Bunting

What is it? Take Notice, Get Creative

Who is it for? Adults, Families

If you like sewing, drawing, photography, nature or walking, then have a go at this slow stitchery project with Penny Gunn. You can take inspiration from photographs and the video, as well as the nature around you.

  • Observe the details in nature whilst getting some exercise
  • Take photos and make sketches of the fauna and flora that you see
  • From your observations take inspiration and get creative
  • Embroider designs and turn these into fabric bunting depicting nature

Why not share your experiences with us on the The Mill’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, and see what others are doing too?

Milling About is our programme of activities to support our local community and to connect people whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place. We’ve received funding from the London Community Response Fund, administered by the City Bridge Trust, to encourage well-being and reduce social isolation. We’re commissioning specialists and creatives from different disciplines to produce activities which  you can do online, from home and out and about in our local area.
