Art Forest School

Escape to the woods; get a good dose of nature inspired creativity.  10th June 2021.

12 FREE funded places for young people age 11-15 who are not in mainstream full-time education.

We will be running nature inspired art sessions. Participants can learn from and be inspired by the natural environment in our “Walk the Line – an exploration of mark-making” workshop. Fostering creativity, confidence, critical thinking and an understanding of ourselves within nature and the world around us. We will be escaping the classroom, the current constraints (whilst maintaining a safe awareness) and enjoying some arty fun out in one of our local gems – Coppermill Lane Fields.

The perfect antidote to some of the challenges of the past year.

Our sessions will enable participants to enjoy making without inhibition, practise new skills, express ideas and relax in nature while learning in a nurturing environment. We offer a wide-ranging thinking and learning experience; adventuring through subjects from traditional Fine Art, to science, natural history, local history and beyond.

We (Flying Sycamores and Pippa Choy) have come together with The Mill, supported by LBWF to provide FREE funded sessions.
