Art Exhibition – “Time Capsule” – call out for submissions & extended hand-in dates

The exhibition will run throughout the Art Trail – from Sunday 2 June and then continue up to Saturday 27 July 2024.

The final date for submissions has recently been extended to 31 May – and local artists are invited to submit work on:

• Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 May 2024 – 9.30am to 5.30pm
• Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2024  – 10am to 2pm
• Tuesday 28 to Friday 31 May 2024 – 9.30am to 5.30pm

Theme – “Time Capsule”

• When future generations look back to our days, what do we want them to see?
• What object, image, or story could capture our experience of this rapidly changing world?
• What would you put in a Time Capsule?
• The theme is open to your own inspiration and we are looking forward to a diversity of works.
• Works can be in any medium, but must be ready to display – eg framed and with string attached.
• We will also welcome 3D works and audio-visual, but there are resource constraints for these, so before submitting, please send details to artworks@themille17.org for consideration.
• Works can be made available for sale, with 20% commission going to The Mill to support our art related and other activities for the E17 local community.

This is a chance for you to showcase, and sell, your work
during E17’s biggest, best and most well-loved art event at a venue which will be open
on every day of the Art Trail and beyond – and which welcomes 80 visitors every week.

• Up to 3 pieces per person
• Submission fee £10 per piece (£5 concessionary fee per piece for unwaged).
