The Mill is open six days a week for anyone to drop-in during opening hours to make a cuppa, browse the honesty library and use the children’s playroom.

There are also activities – some which need to be booked – and some which you can access on a drop-in basis.

stepup3Step Up Exhibition – A celebratory exhibition of work produced during the Step-Up Programme which was led by five local artists and attended by over 60 local residents. The exhibition is on the walls of our living room – comprising a striking array of art work from 3D sculptures, mosaic, cut-outs, animation and new creative writing.

Wednesday 16 March

Mindfulness Training at 2pm: Robert Beard has been training in mindfulness practice for over 30 years. He is offering a drop in taster session which consists of a lead practice called ‘bringing the senses home’. It lasts for half an hour with a prompt start time and a brief introduction to the nature of mindfulness. The suggested minimum donation for attending is £5.00.

Knitting Drop-In at 6.30pm. For experienced knitters or the complete novice. Support and teaching where required. Everyone welcome. £1 donation appreciated.

Thursday 17 March

Words, Conversation and Scrabble group – 12pm-1.30pm. Gain confidence in spoken English, or simply if you enjoy a good game of scrabble to help improve your vocabulary with Adele Tinman. All nationalities welcome. For more information contact Adele Tinman: tinman.adele@yahoo.com

Friday 18 March

Ukulele Workshop – 2pm-3pm. These workshops operate on a drop-in basis and are open to anyone who would like to the opportunity to come together and make music in a supportive and inclusive environment.
