New: Older People’s Pop Up: Chi Kung with Heike starts Thursday 2nd April
Chi Kung (or Qigong) is a gentle exercise that is similar to Yoga and Tai Chi, but the movements and postures are much simpler. It consists of static postures, simple movements, stretching exercises, breathing exercises and sitting, standing and walking meditation. I practise the ‘Five Element Chi Kung’. Each element (earth, metal, water, wood and fire) contains certain properties, which manifest as certain movements in the body. The aim is to try and balance all the elements in the body. Anyone can do Chi Kung. It is a gentle, low impact form of exercise and is open to adults of all abilities.
