Help us make Waltham Forest mental health friendly

Mental health Friendly 2]Making Waltham Forest Mental Health Friendly – Volunteers Needed!
5th November
11am – 4pm (break for lunch)

Volunteers with experience of mental health difficulty are needed to share their experiences with the local community.

Making Waltham Forest Mental Health friendly is funded by Time to Change, England’s biggest programme to end the stigma and discrimination faced by people with mental health problems.

The program plans to visit workplaces and community groups across the borough talking to the people there about mental health and what they might do to make what they do more inclusive of people with mental health difficulties. To do this they are recruiting volunteers. These events will be small, intimate, and will give people a chance to hear from volunteers about what it’s like to have a mental health difficulty.

Anyone interested in attending the training session can email hello@MHfriendlyWF.org.uk or call 020 8521 7956.
Anyone who’s interested in volunteering but is not able to attend the session on November 5th should still get in touch as a further training session will be arranged early next year.
