The Mill is a vibrant and welcoming community hub, created by local residents in 2011, based in a former library building at the heart of Walthamstow. We host a wide range of services, events and activities, and operate open access spaces for local people to meet and contribute to community life.
We are recruiting a Grants Fundraiser up to 6 hours per week.
The role: We are looking for an experienced Grants Fundraiser with experience of working in the voluntary sector with a proven track record in securing successful grant funding from lottery, trusts and foundations and local and national government sources.
You will produce high quality, tailored applications and explore potential new sources of grant income for unrestricted funding, project and activity funding, and capital funding for building repairs and refurbishment.
You will have knowledge and understanding of a range of funders, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high quality of writing, financial understanding and the ability to manage a varied workload against deadlines. You’ll be a self-starter with plenty of initiative and comfortable working with trustees, staff and volunteers as well as independently.
The role is offered on a self employed freelance basis for six months, with an opportunity to renew the agreement thereafter. The rate of pay is £23 per hour.
