The Mill is a vibrant and welcoming community hub, created by local residents in 2011, based in a former library building at the heart of Walthamstow. We host a wide range of services, events and activities, and operate open access spaces for local people to meet and contribute to community life.
Become a Trustee at The Mill
Could you help us run The Mill in a way that really works for everyone? We’re looking for people to join our Trustee Board.
The Mill has recently secured funding for a series of significant projects. It will be an exciting time to join as a Trustee.
We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
We’re especially interested if you have one or more of the following:
- Have a great knowledge of Walthamstow and The Mill’s immediate neighbourhood
- Understand residents who are vulnerable and/or isolated
- Are already volunteers at The Mill
- Come to The Mill for any of the groups and activities that happen here
- Have professional knowledge in facilities/building management and/or building (re)development
- Have a passion for data, gathering and analysing evidence to demonstrate The Mill’s value to the community
- Most of all we want enthusiastic people who want to create a strong community and share our values.
There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the role in person at The Mill Meetup on Saturday 31 January 10:30am to 12.
