What is it? Be Active, Keep Learning, Well Being
Who is it for? Adults, Older People, Disabled People
Try a mini introduction Tai Chi course focusing on being active and connecting with nature, run by Dao Lu CIC.
Tai Chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and graceful movements. It is also a “soft” martial arts. It helps people improve balance, coordination and concentration and learn self-defence skills.
Tai Chi is great for older people, people in higher risk groups, and people with mental health problems – Covid-19 has brought so much more stress and anxiety for so many people such as people who have lost their jobs. Tai Chi will help strengthen their immune system, whilst calming mind and body.
Dao Lu have put together four virtual Tai Chi Breeze sessions, all the sessions have been recorded, so you can take part in your own time. There’s a Tai Chi glossary, to help you understand the terms on the Dao Lu website.

Why not share your experiences with us on the The Mill’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, and see what others are doing too?
Milling About is our programme of activities to support our local community and to connect people whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place. We’ve received funding from the London Community Response Fund, administered by the City Bridge Trust, to encourage well-being and reduce social isolation. We’re commissioning specialists and creatives from different disciplines to produce activities which you can do online, from home and out and about in our local area.
