Sketchbook from Scratch

What is it? Get Creative, Keep Learning

Who is it for? Adults, Young People

Get started with bookbinding, collage and typography art with Gemma Lawrence.

Try some creative ideas for people looking to start sketch-booking, scrapbooking or idea brain-storming in interesting and exciting ways.

These videos will show you how to first make your own sketchbook, then decorate it with typography and illustrate it with collage. They’re tasks to get you experimenting and trying new ideas, whilst also exploring your own and finding what works for you!

Download the Collage Kit to use with the third video.

Milling About is our programme of activities to support our local community and to connect people whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place. We’ve received funding from the London Community Response Fund, administered by the City Bridge Trust, to encourage well-being and reduce social isolation. We’re commissioning specialists and creatives from different disciplines to produce activities which  you can do online, from home and out and about in our local area.
