Make your own scrapbook

What is it? Take notice; Get Creative

Who is it for? Children and young people

For this Milling About Activity, created by Gemma Lawrence, we’re doing a weekly scrapbooking project for children to explore creative techniques and ideas. You’ll start by making a scrapbook, then filling it with different ideas and experiments including making your own paint and drawing tutorials. The workshops are calming and rewarding, both learning a new skill as well as enjoying the process too. You’ll get to experiment, play and make something you can look back on one day, as well as do all over again!

Give it a go!

Workshop 1 – start off by making your own scrapbook out of spare or scrap paper:

Workshop 2 – have a go at doodles in your scrapbook!

Workshop 3 – Natural Homemade Paint

Workshop 4 – Photography Scavenger Hunt

Why not share your creations with us on the The Mill’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, and see what others are doing too?

Milling About is our programme of activities to support our local community and to connect people whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place. We’ve received funding from the London Community Response Fund, administered by the City Bridge Trust, to encourage well-being and reduce social isolation. We’re commissioning specialists and creatives from different disciplines to produce activities which  you can do online, from home and out and about in our local area.
