What is it? Be active, Well Being
Who is it for? Older Adults, Adults
Join The Blair Academy for Feel Good Thursdays, four videos shared on Thursday mornings starting on 4 March, to help you to incorporate fitness and mindfulness into your life with ease.
As always, we encourage you to seek medical advice before exercising if you have any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries. We encourage you to effectively warm up and cool down before and after your workouts to reduce the risk of injuries, aches and pains.
Week One
This one doesn’t need too much space, and we only use bits and pieces from around the house (a chair and 2 tins of soup) but be sure to check the space around you to ensure it’s clear and there are no hazards or obstructions.
Week Two
Enjoy these simple stretches and let us know what you think!
Week Three
For this week’s video we had a pyjama party to show how you can get down, and learn some new steps, even on the days when you don’t feel like getting out of bed!
Week four
For this week’s video we’re looking at different ways that we can be present in our mind and our body.
Why not share your experiences with us on the The Mill’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, and see what others are doing too?
Milling About is our programme of activities to support our local community and to connect people whilst COVID-19 restrictions are in place. We’ve received funding from the London Community Response Fund, administered by the City Bridge Trust, to encourage well-being and reduce social isolation. We’re commissioning specialists and creatives from different disciplines to produce activities which you can do online, from home and out and about in our local area.
