Learn how to walk with poles (Nordic Walking). The one hour session (the first of two) will introduce you to Nordic Walking, using poles with ledges. The session will include:
- Introduction to poles with ledges
- Warm up (mobility exercises)
- Using poles to walk more easily and improve fitness
- Cool down stretches
The group is limited to six places, so there will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and get to know your fellow walkers.
The following session on Wednesday May 19 will introduce you to poles with straps and give you the opportunity to build on what you have already achieved.
The session is held at the Douglas Eyre Sports Centre in Coppermill Lane. You can meet Liz, the instructor, at The Mill at 9.40 am, ready to walk down to the Sports Centre to meet the others at 10 am.
