Join us for the latest Mill Upskilling Workshop. This event is free and open to anyone who lives, volunteers or works in the St James Big Local area in Walthamstow.

Unconscious bias or, are we as open as we would like to be?

We all have our preferences and our dislikes, whether it’s our choice of music, football team or what we wear. This is fine and good, but sometimes the views that we have leak into our conversations affecting those around us, often due to the unconscious choices that we are making.

Join us for this workshop which will help us all become aware of some of those ideas and views which we might not be so conscious of, helping us to find different choices at times when our buttons can be really pushed.

During the workshop we will:

  • Have fun, doing different exercises to understand what makes us tick
  • Gain some understanding of why others think and act in different ways than we do
  • See more clearly our own ideas which get in the way
  • Get simple tips to help us all make space for others

The workshop will run from 6:30pm – 9pm

Booking essential, book your place on Ticketlab.

This event is being supported by funding from St James Big Local.
