A visioning workshop with Transition Walthamstow – help us turn the TransMission Community Garden into a reality.
We have secured a piece of land next to Mission Grove Primary School to turn into a garden for the whole community. Now we want to get together with you, the local community, to imagine and plan how to transform this space into a garden to grow food, increase biodiversity and create a place for people to gather.
Join us at the garden (2 Mission Grove E17, just behind the closed Wilko) for 10 am, and then head to the Mill (7-11 Coppermill Lane E17 7HA) for 10.30 (ish) where we will be inspired by rad community gardens around the world and work together to creatively workshop a garden for the whole community.
We will provide tea and snacks. Feel free to bring some food to eat or share. The event is FREE and is supported by The Mill Community Centre!
Please note that the event starts at 10am at the TransMission Garden and continues at the Mill at 10.30am, where we will be in the “Living Room”. So if you miss us at the garden, come to the Mill.
Transition Walthamstow are a community-led action group working towards a happier, healthier and more resilient Walthamstow. Challenges like our changing climate, the rising cost of living and the biodiversity crisis all seem impossible to overcome, but we believe that together we can create a new and better world.
