The Sunday Cycle

We meet outside The Mill from about 10:45am on the first Sunday of each month.  We try to leave by 11:15am LATEST, and are usually back by about 4:15pm, so please make sure you have working lights in autumn and winter.

The ride goes at a gentle pace, and experienced marshals help keep all participants together.  I try to use as much dedicated cycle infrastructure as possible, and use either car-free roads or those with little traffic.  The MAXIMUM distance of the ride is about twenty miles, and we always stop at least once at an outdoor café (where we can keep an eye on our bikes!) unless forced indoors by inclement weather.

We are a congenial bunch, and always ride at the pace of our slowest participants so we have never yet left anyone behind.  Everybody is welcome to the rides, which are for everyone from kids to great-grandparents, those new to cycling, and those who would like to increase their experience of the happiest way to travel in London.  If you ARE an experienced cyclist, watch out – you might get roped into marshalling duty!
