We are showing our exciting new participatory art exhibition, The Joke’s On Us! between 11th April-25th May. The exhibition is part of the Waltham Forest Borough of Culture 2019. It features work from the Government Art Collection, and it could showcase your finest joke…
Background on the show
Over the last month we have asked residents – and anyone from anywhere in the world – to tell us their best joke in any language. As long as they are not offensive, all jokes will be displayed alongside prestigious artwork from the Government Art Collection during the The Joke’s On Us! show.
The Government Art Collection exhibit is called Joke Stack by Peter Liversidge. You can even walk off with a piece of this prestigious artwork, as Joke Stack includes a number of large joke posters which anyone can take home.
You can read more about the show here.
Get involved!
- Get involved and send us your jokes on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, using the hashtag #TheJokesOnUs. You can email your jokes to info@themillE17.org. If you are at The Mill, you can post them in our Jokebox. You can even mail them to 7-11 Coppermill Ln, Walthamstow, London E17 7HA.
- Come to the launch of the exhibition on the 11th April! or attend any of the dates between 11 April-25 May (usual Mill opening hours apply).
- Watch out for joke-telling workshops we are running. We will post more information here.
Who’s joke will get the most laughs?!
