Have you heard about mindfulness but you’re not quite sure what it is, or you’d like to find out more? Mindfulness describes the practice of paying attention to the present, on purpose and non-judgmentally. With regular practice it can be a useful tool for managing stress and enhancing well-being.
This one-house taster session will introduce you to:
- what mindfulness is;
- what it isn’t!
- some of the background and evidence behind its use;
- potential benefits of practising mindfulness.
You will also have the opportunity to try out some practice, ask questions, and explore next steps.
Ruth Ormston from Calm City Mind runs a number of workplace and public mindfulness courses, and is passionate about introducing mindfulness to people as a resource to help manage well-being.
