Lockdown Through The Lens

from 19 May to 24 June 2021

We’re calling out for photographers, both new and experienced, to participate in a new exhibition called Lockdown through the Lens.

This will be displayed at The Mill and there will also be an opportunity to participate in an online version of the show that will feature on our website, see below for more details.

The exhibition will explore how our lives have changed in the last year during the Covid 19 pandemic. People have had different experiences; for many the increased time at home has given new insights and discoveries about their immediate environment. We are looking for images that have captured these moments.

Submission dates are:

  • Wednesday 28 April to Saturday 1 May – 10.30am-2.30pm
  • Wednesday 5 May to Saturday 8 May – 10.30am-2.30pm

Terms and conditions apply:

  • Up to 3 pieces per person. Submission fee £10 per piece (£5 per piece unwaged concessions).
  • Photographs can be framed (and must be “ready to display”) or unframed
  • We would like each photograph to be accompanied by a brief text explaining its significance to you.
  • Submissions must be accompanied by a completed entry form

The form includes full terms & conditions and can be downloaded here Entry Form and T&C Lockdown through the lens UPDATED

All queries to: artworks@themille17.org.

Take part in the online exhibition

We will also be including an online version of the exhibition on our website. If you wish any of your photographs to be included in this you can indicate this on the Entry Form – which also gives full information about technical specifications.

Send an image to artworks@themille17.org with the subject line “Image(s) for online exhibition”.

Technical specifications:

  • To avoid any pixelation or blurriness, your exhibition’s “Feature Image” should be a high quality .jpg or .png file measuring 1920px x 1000px up to a maximum file size of 2MB.
  • For images that are taller than they are wide (e.g. are a Portrait aspect), the minimum height of the file should be 570px high.
  • For images that are wider than they are tall (e.g. are a Landscape aspect), the minimum width of the file should be 1095px wide.
  • For images that have a Square aspect, the file should be a minimum 570px (wide) x 570px (high).

We look forward to receiving your submissions.
