Insomnia causes relationship difficulties, low energy levels, poor productivity and concentration problems. Developing issues falling asleep increase the alcohol consumption as a first reaction to get rest. Alcohol makes it more difficult to someone to reach deep sleep also known as REM sleep. Sleeping pills successfully treat insomnia for the short term before people to become dependant from them.

As many as 16 million UK adults (67%) are suffering from disturbed sleep and nearly (23%) manage no more than five hours a night. (Avivas Wellbeing Report)
