Free Art Activities: Doing it Ourselves

Join us on Tuesday 30 July for free art activities with Scribble and Smudge for children and accompanying adults, all ages welcome.

No need to book – just drop in and join the fun between 10 am – 2:30 pm.

This event is part of the of the Doing It Ourselves: Imagining Childcare exhibition. Take part in creative activities with your children that draw on the groundbreaking childcare of the First Neighbourhood Co-operative Nursery.

In the late 1970s, a group of parents and toddlers came together to create a unique parent-led co-operative nursery in Walthamstow. Discover the inspiring story of the First Neighbourhood Co-operative Nursery in this new exhibition, which brings the nursery back to life using oral history, photography, film and archive documents.
