This event to launch our new exhibition – “Don’t Grow Up” – is open to all and we hope you can attend:
- On: Friday 17 November 2023
- At: 6.30pm-8.30pm
It will be an informal, social event at which you can:
- see all the works on display*
- meet some of the artists and members of The Mill’s Art Works team
- enjoy drinks and nibbles provided by The Mill
* Some works are available for sale, so you’ll have a chance to purchase an original piece of art by a local artist.
This latest open-call exhibition has attracted submissions from 29 artists – and there are 36 works on the walls of our living room area. Artists were invited to submit works on the theme of childhood and the experience of growing up.
The exhibition shows the many individual ways in which this theme has been interpreted and includes works in a variety of mediums, including some 3D works and poetry.
No need to RSVP – just come along!

If you can’t come along to the launch event, you can see the exhibition during Mill open hours up to Friday 22 December – and then, after The Mill closes for the the Christmas and New Year period – the exhibition will be available to view again from Saturday 6 to Sunday 21 January 2024.
