Come along to The Mill community centre on Sat 25 September to learn about recent archaeological excavations at Holy Family Catholic Technology College on Shernhall Street. Over the last few years archaeologists from Pre-Construct Archaeology have been using a range of techniques to learn more the area’s past.
Join us on the day to:
- See a display of finds excavated from the site, some of which are almost 2000 years old
- Learn more about how archaeologists investigate the past, the techniques they use, and the types of objects they find
- Find out how, from its earliest days, life in Walthamstow has been shaped by the River Lea
- Meet archaeologists from MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology)
