Unconscious bias or are we as open as we would like to be.
We all have our preferences and our dislikes whether it’s our choice of music, football team or colour of clothes. This is fine and good but sometimes these views that we have leak into our conversations affecting those around us. This is often due to unconscious choices that we are making.
Join us for this workshop which will help us all become aware of some of those ideas and views which we might not be so aware of, helping us to find different choices at those times when our buttons can be really pushed.
Over the 3 hours we will:
- Have fun, doing different exercises to understand what makes us tick
- Gain some understanding of why others think and act in different ways than we do
- See more clearly our own ideas which get in the way
- Get simple tips to help us all make space for others
This workshop will be facilitated by Alison Manning and is open to anyone who lives or volunteers in the St James area of Walthamstow, and is kindly supported by St James Big Local.
