ARTIST CALLOUT for The Mill’s Summer Exhibition

CALLOUT FOR ARTISTS

You are invited to submit up to three works of art to our very first Summer Exhibition. The exhibition runs from Tuesday 2 June to Saturday 8 August. Like the more famous Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, there is no theme – just submit something you would like to show. Unlike the Royal Academy, we will almost certainly show your work.

WHEN, WHERE AND HOW TO SUBMIT

Submissions week is Tuesday 19 May to Sunday 24 May.

The Mill is open 9:30 to 5:30 Tuesday to Friday and 10:00 to 2:00 at the weekend. You can download a copy of the submission form here, or just get the form at Reception and fill it out when you bring your work in.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• You must live or work in Waltham Forest.
• You can submit a maximum of 3 works.
• The fee is £12.50 per work / £6 unwaged per artwork, payable when you drop it off.
• The Mill’s commission on sales is 20% of the selling price.

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

• Works must be framed or otherwise prepared ready to hang on the wall.
• Works larger than 50x70cm and 3D works: please ask if your artwork can be accepted. We may not take more than one larger work.
• Labelling: the back of the work must display the title, your name and telephone/email.
• Protection: Your work should be in a bag or wrapping to prevent damage during storage.
• Label the wrapping with your name.
• Payment of submission fee per work.

CONDITIONS

• Note we do not insure artworks.
• Normally we hang everything that is submitted but The Mill reserves the right to refuse work. Your fee will be refunded if that happens after you have paid.
• Collect your work on time after the exhibition, or make arrangements if you need to. We cannot store uncollected work.
