Art Foragers

Come and join artist and Illustrator Louise Weir at an observational drawing workshop in and around Walthamstow marshes where you will draw with natural forms and explore mark making with ink. In the workshop we will explore less controlled way of drawing where there are no ‘mistakes’, you will be encouraged to experiment and explore a variety of different drawing methods. Drawing allows us the time to look and listen more intently, this session will be a wonderful opportunity to take time to observe the rich diversity of plants, birds and wildlife within this landscape. Dark ink and paper will be supplied, attendees can also bring a sketchbook or selection of coloured inks if they wish. Please wear clothes that you do not mind getting messy. Young children need to be accompanied by an adult/carer.

We will meet outside the mill at 1pm and make our way down to the Marshes from there. Car parking is available in and around the Mill and at Walthamstow marshes ( although this may be limited ).
