Art Exhibition – “Don’t Grow Up!” – call out for submissions & hand-in dates

Our next exhibition – “Don’t Grow Up!” is scheduled for display from 14 November 2023 to 21 January 2024

This call-out is for local artists of all ages and abilities to submit work for the exhibition – for which the theme is childhood and the experience of growing up.

We hope through this exhibition to explore this significant period in our lives where it has been said we are our most creative and free to be our authentic selves.The theme is open to your interpretation and could be based on a nostalgic memory, a poignant object or a significant place.

Work can be in any medium, but must be prepared so it is ready to display. Poems will also be welcome – please type or write these on high quality A4 paper or card (minimum 120 gsm). If you wish to submit 3D work, please send details of the work to artworks@themille17.org for consideration by the curators.

This is your chance to exhibit and potentially sell your work in a public space and we particularly welcome work from new and budding creatives.

Submission dates are 
Tuesday 31 October to Sunday 5 November 2023
during the following open hours:

Tuesday to Friday – 9.30am to 5.30pm
Sunday and Saturdays – 10am to 2pm

Terms and conditions apply:

• Up to 3 pieces per person. Submission fee £10 per piece (£5 concessionary fee per piece for unwaged).
• Works must be “ready to display”
• Works must be accompanied by payment and a completed entry form; the form includes full terms & conditions and can be downloaded from the link below.
