A Climate of Change brings together Waltham Forest residents to draw hope for and from the natural world in this time of coronavirus crisis and to bring forth better, more sustainable communities.

Earlier this year, as part of Waltham Forest’s Virtual Culture programme, The Mill ran our first ever virtual exhibition – and we are thrilled to announce that this has now been transferred into a physical one, at The Mill – from 13 September to 27 November 2020.

You will be able to see submissions we received for the virtual show, including works like Rosalind Stephens’ Peonies and Yvonne Overton’s Days Like These (both shown below, left and right respectively).

Two art works, on the left a photograph of a bunch deep red peonies, on a black background, the flowers are framed by their green leaves. On the right a painting of the sun in bright reds to yellow

There are also other works which have been submitted specially for the physical exhibition – all by local artists.

Some works are for sale – giving you the chance to purchase an original art work, and support not only a local artist but also The Mill (artist receives 80% of sale price, and 20% goes to The Mill).

When visiting our exhibition, please comply with our COVID Secure requirements, including maintaining 2 metres distance from others, cleaning your hands and wearing a face covering. There’s a limit on the number of people in The Mill in general, and in individual rooms, so you might have to wait outside or come back later, particularly if there’s a group using the Living Room.
