We have funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to help us to plan for the next five years. With the funding, we can spend some time together as a community, learning from our past and looking to our future. We hope to launch our new plan or ‘strategy’ in April 2023.
The Mill belongs to all of us, anyone who enters the building is part of our community and is important to us. When we plan for the future, we need to create opportunities and spaces for everyone to talk about what The Mill means to us and what we think it could mean to others.
We will be:
- Creating interesting and fun opportunities to explore what our people and community think about The Mill and have a say in our future plans
- Celebrating what we are good at and making sure we do more of it
- Thinking about the things we could do better and explore how we can improve
- Having ideas about things we haven’t already done but could or should
- Thinking about how our building helps us to make things happen
- Finding different ways to tell stories about how The Mill makes us think and feel
- Working together to create a plan and make it happen together
How to get involved
You will be able to share your thoughts about The Mill in lots of different ways over the next few months but in the meantime you can either email Leanne at leanne@themille17.org, pop your thoughts on our online public pin board or post your thoughts into our suggestions box at The Mill. We’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
