The Children’s Room is open!

The Mill Children's Room, with a selection of toys and books laid out, ready for play.

We’re really pleased to let you know that our Children’s Room has reopened at last!

Our Children’s Room is a fun, free space for babies and toddlers to play with their parents and carers.

The room is open to everyone during our public opening hours:

  • Tuesday to Friday: 10am – 3pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10am – 2pm

We’ve made a few changes :

  • We’ll be rotating toys to help us manage cleaning and quarantining of toys after use.
  • We’ve grouped the toys into a manageable daily selection, with a mix of different types of toys, every day we’ll have one group available to play with.
  • We’ve labelled boxes and large toys with a different symbol for each day, a fish, a crab, a dinosaur or an umbrella. Please only play with the boxes for that day.
  • There is a limit of 6 adults in the room with their children. If we’re at our limit you might have to come back later when we’re less busy.

We’ll be monitoring how things are running over the coming weeks and we may have to make some adjustments if we feel we need to.

If you have ideas, suggestions or questions about the Children’s room, please let our reception volunteers know, get in touch with a member of staff, or email us at info@TheMillE17.org
