Everyone here at The Mill is deeply saddened to hear that our friend and supporter George Law has passed away.

George was a regular and much-loved volunteer at The Mill for many years. He first visited in 2013 and quickly became an invaluable and creative member of The Coppermill Poets poetry group. He was soon a vital member of our volunteer team as well. For many years George was a quiet but steadying presence on reception, as well as lending his time to help with social media and Christmas tidy ups.

He shared his delight for general knowledge, sports and music as an integral member of the Mill Quiz Team, helping to organise the annual fundraiser. We will always be grateful for the support he gave us as a volunteer and raising money for The Mill.

George was a true mastermind with a love of words, maths and poetry and a keen sports fan. He had many friends here and we will miss him a lot. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.
