A new exhibition at The Mill, organised by Carla Cruz, focusing on printing techniques used by local artists will be on display from Thursday 2 February 2017 until Saturday 11 March 2017.
Ink, Press, Go!, an inquisitive exhibition, showcases the talents of people in the local community who have been exploring printing techniques in the most varied methods.
Prints are created by transferring ink from a prepared surface to a sheet of paper or other material, with the possibility of generating multiple prints. However, artists normally don’t choose printing just for its ability to produce multiples, but rather for the unique qualities that each of the printmaking processes lends itself to. Ink, Press, Go! wants to show you the diversity of the different printmaking techniques local artists are using.
The exhibition will explore the amazing work people in the local area are doing using printmaking techniques.
