The Mill
Saturday 7 May 2016
Thank you to Tash, Cleo and all the volunteers who helped at our Star Wars Family Fun Day on Saturday 7 May 2016. We had a lot of fun and raised almost £500 for The Mill. Thanks to our local community who embraced the day and turned out in some fantastic costumes. We hope you enjoyed the day and completed your outfit by having your face painted, earned yourself a badge from our Star Wars Trivia, crafted yourselves a lightsaber and tried some of our wonderful cakes – they were out of this world!
Also, thanks to 6-year old, Leo, who suggested the event. If you have any ideas for an event at The Mill or would like to get an involved, get in touch at info@themill-coppermill.org
Here’s what some parents said about Star Wars Family Day 2016:
“Thank you for a great Star Wars Day at The Mill on Saturday. My children really enjoyed coming dressed up and taking part in the activities. Brilliant face painting completed the look. Favourite activities were art and craft creations (with lots of encouraging assistance) and the very believable Jedi training. Also, what a lovely idea of a badge awarded by Yoda for even
attempting to complete the quiz. My son will be asking about next year’s Star Wars day for the next whole year”Gill Herbert and Family
“Hi, just a quick email to say how much my children and I enjoyed Star Wars Day, both my children have autism and had a great time, also we loved the delicious and cheap coffee and cake. Can’t wait for the next one”

Thank you to everyone for making this event a great success.
