Free Oral History Training
Are you interested in local history? Waltham Forest Oral History Workshop is giving free training to volunteers on our oral history project recording local people’s memories of how the shops and market stalls in St James Street and the lower High Street have changed over the years. The recordings are a contribution to the St James Street Heritage Regeneration Project, which aims to preserve and enhance the historic character of the St James Conservation Area and is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Waltham Forest Council. As a trained volunteer you will record at least two short interviews between now and January 2017, with support from WFOHW. Contact Alice Mackay on 07985 962 975 or email
