Tools & Principles to Enrich Our Communities, a 1-day ecological and social healing workshop organised in collaboration with The Mill and Hedge Herbs, aims to help participants learn and explore ways of working together effectively, to recognise common ground and differences, and to discover how permaculture and contemporary group approaches can support a vision to co-create more conscious, real and productive relationships within groups and communities.

 Who is the taster workshop for?

This workshop would suit anyone interested in sustainability or ecology, or members of transition towns, climate action groups, community gardening groups, co-operatives, etc. The workshop is also beneficial if you’re curious about permaculture and working in groups and want to learn more.

Outline

The session will comprise of two parts: (i) a short permaculture workshop and (ii) a taster workshop exploring diversity in groups, in which participants will be required to share their own experiences, engage with others, and give and receive constructive feedback.

Topics covered:

  • Introduction to permaculture tools and principles
  • Patterns in nature
  • Social Permaculture: Nature in us
  • Diversity: Feeling in our own shoes and stepping into the shoes of others
  • Conflict: An opportunity for growth
  • Role-playing exercise with feedback

Cost:
£35 (£25 for Waltham Forest residents)
The fee has been subsidised thanks to The Mill.

Limited concessionary rates are available for Waltham Forest residents only (for full-time students, unemployed, pensioners, etc.)
