What could you make happen in Lea Bridge ?

Thanks to the project sponsored by London Borough of Waltham Forest, there is continuing and extending availability of the Community Room upstairs in Lea Bridge Library for new community projects, at no charge.

We are looking for the best ideas to use the Community Room at any or all of the following times, starting from early November:

Mondays 3-5pm or 4-6pm and evenings
Wednesdays 10am-12noon, 12noon-2pm and 2pm-4pm
Fridays 3-5pm or 4-6pm and evenings

This can be something new, or something you have been developing.  It needs to benefit the people of the local area.  Of particular interest are projects which benefit the elderly, young, families, people with health or disability issues and their carers, and vulnerable groups.  We would like to see local people developing their skills and community capacity through participating in this project.  The most important thing is the amount of benefit your project will make to local people.  We would like your activity to be weekly and to last until at least Christmas.  It would be good if you already have an idea of who would come to your activity and how you would reach them.  A panel of local people will decide on the applications.

You can email the answers to alison@themill-coppermill.org or leave them in the project postbox at Lea Bridge Library.

– Tell us about your project.  What will you do each week for 2 hours?  Who will come?  Will it be free?
– What times of the week could you offer this?
– Tell us about your background.  Have you done something like this before?
– Tell us your name and contact details

Please respond by Saturday 12th October.  If you register your interest with me beforehand, I can also send you an information sheet about using the room (unfortunately this email platform doesn’t allow attachments).  Printouts of the forms and information sheets will also be in the library, on the noticeboard, from Friday.
