Your last chance to see the figures Waiting at The Mill: accompanied by a picture of Husna next to her statue! “A recent open evening promoting The Mill’s latest exhibition “Waiting” proved to be an enjoyable success. Combining the work of local artists and poets, the exhibition displayed some wonderful creative talent. A poem by poet Hassan Vawda, telling the story of his Grand Mothers struggle with Alzheimer’s, proved to be deeply poignant and powerful. The plaster people created by Esther Neslen are cleverly constructed from plaster and chicken wire. Each one with its own story to tell with individual characters from all walks of life.”
