The thriving groups already using Lea Bridge are taking a break for half-term – but they will be back next week, and will be bringing more friends with them!
The space has been made available to the community two days a week, and there will be 4 groups using the upstairs community room at Lea Bridge Library every Monday and Friday:
Mondays from 10.15am: there will be home schooling sessions for ages 3-7. The group has a great range of teaching and learning planned, and you can contact mhss2012@hotmail.co.uk to find out more.
Mondays from 12 noon: the brilliant Up Your Street Seniors continues. The last meeting, featuring a talk on meditation and relaxation, was a great success. There are loads more talks and activities planned for the weeks to come, and anyone interested in joining should contact Gillian at gillianmuir@aol.co.uk.
Fridays from 10.30am: An Elders Crafting Group for the over 55s is starting-up. These look like terrific sessions, and you can email sarahbethrobertson@gmail.com to find out more.
Fridays from 1pm: the Stroll London Lea Bridge Baby Social, for little ones up to 18 months. A lovely chance to meet other parents, carers and their babies.
Thank you to everyone who has put so much time and effort into this new community activity, and who have already made it such a success! In the coming weeks, we will be printing a short newsletter to tell even more people about the opportunities here, and we’ll be seeking volunteers to help deliver it. In the meantime, you can sign up to our regular Lea Bridge email here.
All offer of help welcome – you can email me at alison@themill-coppermill.org
I look forward to seeing you all after the holidays!
