Learn how to create your own block-printed textiles at the Mill, with a weekly workshop run by Mehraj Textile Art starting in February.
The course is suitable for adults with an interest in fabric and textiles design. It will cover the names and origins of repeat patterns in Indian textile design and which techniques are still being used in present-day fabrics and wallpapers. This is a practical course offering ASDAN accreditation based on a minimum of 10 hours attendance (no examination).
At the end of the seven-week course, participants will have a completed piece of printed fabric using their own block and an Asdan qualification they can use towards further study.
