The Mill is  a fun-packed community centre with many activities catered for all ages. Want to improve and gain confidence with your English speaking skills? Then take part in the English Conversational Group on 30th October. Also on that day we have the Waltham Forest Social and Peer Group holding a special event for the Visually impaired. We are proud do our upmost to ensure that The Mill caters for all and for those who love attending FREE tasters, then do certainly make a date in your diary for 31st October and meet Teresa at her Art Therapy group for some creative therapy!!  Those who want to know how to play a guitar then contact Sevan and start making music!! 10:30 – 12:00 Young Start Up
This is a seven week, part time, free course for young people 27 years or younger and who are unemployed and resident of Waltham Forest.This course will motivate you to not just talk about your brilliant business idea but give you the information, tools and support to get started. It is practical – getting you to take the first steps between sessions. The idea of business will be covered from different angles in an interactive and fun way.

Interactive music session for ages 3 months to 3 years parents/carers. Drawing on your natural creative processes with the guidance of the Art Therapist, you produce a piece of work in each session. With the support of other group members, you can find helpful meanings in what you make. Teresa Webb, M.Ed The Arts in Therapy and Education and qualified Counsellor with 20 years experience

The Mill Community space knitting group meets every Friday from 10am to 12 noon. For experienced knitters or the complete novice. Support and teaching where required. Everyone welcome.

 

Saturday 3rd Nov

10:00 – 11:15 Creative Dance Workshops for 3-5 year olds
Children will explore how the body can move, building physical confidence and creativity. Using music, rhymes, props and objects children will explore moving in different ways. How might you move with wellington boots, brightly coloured feathers or a large elastic ring? a fun and stimulating workshop where children can learn some movement ‘building blocks’ such as body parts, leading and following and musical shapes while also developing their own ideas.
2 x 35 minutes sessions :

£3.50 per session.
