10:00 to 11:00 Wriggly Rhythms
Wriggly Rhythms is a group for babies and toddlers who want to sing with their parents and carers. During a 45 minute session, they will get the opportunity to sing songs, shake shakers, meet puppets, dance, listen and, of course, sing. A variety of songs from traditional nursery rhymes and counting songs to less familiar songs around themes that change every half term. Lots of repetition provides familiarity and a good foundation for learning while, for parents, it’s the opportunity to learn new songs to sing at home of dust off your memories to keep the traditional rhymes alive. The Mill Community space knitting group meets every Friday from 10am to 12 noon. For experienced knitters or the complete novice. Support and teaching where required. Everyone welcome.

Are you a disabled person? Are you a Carer? Or are you or someone in your family elderly and keen to stay fit and independent. WFDRC is a local charity which has been helping people like you for over 20 years. At the Mill we are holding 10 taster sessions of activities which include armchair exercises, memory games, healthy living, reminiscing, and local and family history. These session will start on Friday 14th September and continue every Friday until 16 November 2012 . 10:00 – 11:15 Creative Dance Workshops for 3-5 year olds – FREE TASTER SESSION.
Children will explore how the body can move, building physical confidence and creativity. Using music, rhymes, props and objects children will explore moving in different ways. How might you move with wellington boots, brightly coloured feathers or a large elastic ring? a fun and stimulating workshop where children can learn some movement ‘building blocks’ such as body parts, leading and following and musical shapes while also developing their own ideas.
FREE TASTER SESSIONS : 10:00am-10:30am and 10:45 until 11:15am. Maximum eight children per session and thereafter £3.50 per session. Spaces limited so book early at The Mill Reception.
