What’s On 4th – 9th September

September brings us with more excitement at The Mill. On the 5th we are inviting  all you passionate Poets to gather and study classic aswell as contemporary poetry. To those who enjoy  performing, come in and take part in Wriggly Rhythms with your baby or toddler – its all about singing and dancing and much more  for parents/carers and the little ones!! 13:30 – 15:30 ‘Coppermill Recycled Teenagers’ ( for local senior citizens) “The Coppermill `Recycled Teenagers” and their leader Sue Clarke meet, they devise a variety of activities and discussions. Small donation is welcomed.

Family friendly celebrations from 16:00- 18.30. Thereafter till 21:00 , we hope to welcome adults coming back from work. Also From 7 – 9pm “Meet The Artists” re the Art Trail exhibition “Gifted”. Entertainment and Mill Punch will be provided – but it is hoped our very generous community will, again, bring food to share.

10:00 to 11:00 Wriggly Rhythms
Wriggly Rhythms is a group for babies and toddlers who want to sing with their parents and carers. During a 45 minute session, they will get the opportunity to sing songs, shake shakers, meet puppets, dance, listen and, of course, sing. A variety of songs from traditional nursery rhymes and counting songs to less familiar songs around themes that change every half term. Lots of repetition provides familiarity and a good foundation for learning while, for parents, it’s the opportunity to learn new songs to sing at home of dust off your memories to keep the traditional rhymes alive. The Mill Community space knitting group meets every Friday from 10am to 12 noon. For experienced knitters or the complete novice. Support and teaching where required. Everyone welcome.

Sevan Peace is a friendly approachable tutor with four years teaching experience,offering a unique ability to play with other guitarists of a similar level. Classes are organised into abillity and cost £10 per session.You’ll need a guitar, other  useful yet not compulsory accesories would include a tuner, metronome, and picks.
