What`s On 28th August – 2nd September

September is nearly here and that means that our 1st birthday is just round the corner. Celebrate with us – we are having a party on the 6th September!!  Exciting things are always taking place at our local community centre. On the 30th August we have an exclusive opportunity for children to take part in painting a Stegosaurus while mums and dads and carers can treat themselves at the mini sale here at The Mill between 10.30  – 14.00. A  big thank you to all who submitted their work for the GIFTED competition and our Art Trail offering will be available to view from Friday 31st August. 13:30 – 15:30 ‘Coppermill Recycled Teenagers’ ( for local senior citizens) The senior citizens group “The Coppermill `Recycled Teenagers” and their leader Sue Clarke meet, they devise a variety of activities and discussions. Small donation is welcomed.

Come and help Vanessa and friends create a new creature for The Mill suitable for all ages.Please wear old painting clothes.

10:30 to 14:00 Mini Sales at The Mill
Plants and nearly new children’s clothes, nearly new toys, coffees, homemade biscuits and buns. Fun for Mums while the kids create!

12:00 to 14:00 Asian Womens Support Group
Come in and make some friends and learn a skill!!

 

Friday 31st August
Gifted!! A mixed exhibition of all kinds of Art by professionals and first time Art Trailers. The Mill’s gift to Walthamstow and a showcase for the exceedingly talented friends and supporters of  The Mill. Normal opening hours.

10:00 to 12:00 Knitting Group
The Mill Community space knitting group meets every Friday from 10am to 12 noon. For experienced knitters or the complete novice. Support and teaching where required. Everyone welcome.

Sevan Peace is a friendly approachable tutor with four years teaching experience,offering a unique ability to play with other guitarists of a similar level. Classes are organised into abillity and cost £10 per session.You’ll need a guitar, other  useful yet not compulsory accesories would include a tuner, metronome, and picks.
